REVIEW – ROCK OF AGES, SHAFTSBURY THEATRE, LONDON

Well, I quite liked it. Others didn't.

Very very uncomfortable seats in this theatre.

Funny that the waving of the fake lighters in the air had to be started off by the theatre’s staff

TV/FILM REVIEWS - THE PICTURE POSTCARD WORLD OF NIGEL WALMSLEY; TOO MUCH, TOO YOUNG: CHILDREN OF THE MIDDLE AGES; HANNA

There's probably a thread linking these.

Hanna is about a child; the not-very-good medieval children programme was a documentary; the really-hugely-good postcard programme was also a documentary.

Or something.

REVIEWS - JENS LEKMAN, EDDA MAGNASON, SACRED HARP, SIINAI, SPLASHGIRL, TIGER BABY

When a lot of stuff comes in that’s great, it has to be shouted about.

All are standouts. Very different from each other, with individual identities.

REVIEW - A WINGED VICTORY FOR THE SULLEN

Great album, and there is a lot more to be said about its context.

REVIEW - THE STEPKIDS

When this nails it, it really nails it. Don’t really see it in a funk context though.
