EUROPEAN MUSIC FESTIVALS 2010

I was struck last year by how generic festival bills were – certainly not an original thought. With the likes of the Prodigy or Ting Tings playing everywhere, uniqueness and local flavour have to be diminished.

So, in compiling the 2010 listing the balance between the circuit-hogger festivals and events that retain (and even celebrate) a taste of their locale was struck.
